Hybrid Krav-Maga Levels

Hybrid Krav-Maga is a hybrid between Krav Maga and competitive full contact fighting systems based on striking, grappling and wrestling in any standing or grounded environment

With that base, to maximize the efficiency of the practitioners and keep the integrity and quality of the system as high as possible, Hybrid Krav-Maga has adapted a belt and stripe system based on skills of the practitioner

In HKM the premiere driver of progression is increased effectiveness and understanding of all aspects of physical conflict. This means that the main task for HKM is to improve the effectiveness in which the student can perform a specific task at a lower energy cost in a timely manner against a wide variety of people. This can only be achieved through qualitative time spent in the training room under realistic and relevant pressure that is as similar to real life conflict as possible.

Please note that the most important factor in HKM is EFFICIENCY and time on the mats under realistic pressure. This means that your actual skill and function under pressure will affect the HKM level awarded.

Black Belt levels will only be awarded personally to the practitioner based on the individual skills, time and experience of the practitioner at hand by Founder Tommy Blom. During the tranistional period this will be after that the practitioner Sucessfully passes the Transition Course (HKM-TC) and a testing period. Black Belt levels will not be following any direct or specific rule.

EMBRACE CHAOS

Violent conflict is an ever changing environment of chaos. Erratic, changing, momentarily decided by circumstances that is out of our control.

To combat this we have to spend time in it and learn to control it, to embrace the chaos as part of our environment.

We have to learn to take control of what is available to us in the moment and then work to improve on that. Get closer to the core of the problem and deal with it with the tools available to us

All training in violent conflict has to involve the element of chaos to be realistic.

Hybrid Krav-Maga utilizez chaos as a tool and let the students learn to embrace it as part of training by spending time in it.

Learn to control chaos by embracing it.
