Welcome to the future
The HKM Transition Course (HKM-TC) is designed for Krav-Maga Instructors that wants to join HKM. The course is designed to ensure that the Instructors understand all aspects of HKM to a level of being able to teach HKM to their students.
The HKM-TC is a 7-day course that is offered on-site and online. The days are divided into 2 sessions of 4 hours/day. The 14 sessions of training is a mix of theory and physical training, with a main focus on understanding the HKM way of teaching and training.
The goal of the HKM-TC is to ensure that you as an instructor learn, understand and adapt the HKM way of training and teaching in comparison to previous ways.
This course trains instructors to design learning environments that reliably produce transferable self-defense and fighting skills under representative conditions, using safety, and time constraints.
It is grounded in Ecological Dynamics, the Constraints-Led Approach (CLA), and Non-Linear Pedagogy and focuses on how to build skillful and adaptive problem solvers.
After the course, participants will be able to:
- Design representative training tasks with real transfer value
- Use constraints to shape behavior
- Build sessions with high learning density per minute
- Create live, adaptive, pressure-tested performance while controlling risk of injury
- Analyze and optimize practice for ecological validity and skill transfer
- Run training with Representative Learning Design high in Action Fidelity
